These difficulties consist of unresponsive moments and at times the controls feel a little awkward and you can tell that the game was originally made for PC. It’s a shame because these aren’t the only problems the game suffers with because you will also have a few difficulties with the controls from time to time. Some of the technichal issues the game has makes you not want to carry on and one particular issue that affects your progress is potentially game-breaking, which is unforgivable. Speaking about the difficulty curve it will no doubt cause you quite a few problems and when you combine it with the technichal issues the game suffers witth you end up getting frustrated a great deal. I must admit that I was surprised by the amount of depth that the RPG elements had and if they had a gentler difficulty curve then the elements would’ve been even better. Don’t get me wrong they do get some things right and that’s definitely evident when it comes to the RPG mechanics that have been implemented. I was hoping that would change with the release of Runestone Keeper, but despite it being enjoyable at times it unfortunately suffered with quite a few problems. Unfortunately there hasn’t been an abundance of old-school RPG’s in recent year’s and the one’s that have been released haven’t been the best to say the least. Unfortunately there Old-school RPG games played a massive part in my childhood and I found them to be my go to games when I was younger. Nevertheless, the plus points of GT5 - namely the astute attention to detail regarding the "premium" vehicles and their interiors and the welcome return of old track favourites - outweigh the negative aspects of the game, and there is no doubt that GT5 will be adored by the masses all over the world just like its predecessors! But then again, if gamers find this new GT game a little too complex for their liking (as it can be frustrating at times), there is always the previous editions to enjoy. The newly introduced damage model makes little difference to a vehicle's handling (you would expect some differences) sounding the horn and flashing the headlights seems pointless, and the AI leaves a lot to be desired. What is disappointing is the lack of "cockpit" views in "standard" vehicles and their 'less attention to detail' graphics wise - look closely and you can see where the game-makers have cut corners. 1 day of extra free playing time? Try 1 month. Hehe, you obviously weren't around when WWII Online launched two years ago. This was by far the worst release of a MMO, IHMO. And before you know it, you will look back on this day and wonder what the big deal was and why you got so upset. Now you come to SWG, another game that has never been attempted in this fashion (and I am not talking MM either), with the new programming techniques, infrastructure needed, etc. And most of that was because no one had EVER done what they did before in magnitude. No other game has even come close to it yet with its active subscription rate. EQ STILL became the most widely and biggest played online game in history. But they fixed that, they appologized to the players, and they did something about it. When Verant (now SOE) first launched EQ, it had alot of issue's its first 3 days. If you do, you obviously have no idea of the logistics involved. INSOMNIAX WORLD OF WARCRAFT SOFTWAREYou cannot honestly blame them for a piece of hardware going bad or for Oracle's software having a bug in it that was not seen before. The first few days are always extremely rough with the devs getting very little sleep while trying to fix the unforseen issue's that arise. Even UO, when first launched, had some pretty big issues and they had 100x LESS people trying to get in. I for one, alone with others, expected things like this to happen. You cannot expect a release of this magnitude to happen with out any type of issue's. DAoC hardware failure, billing software glitch, etc Everquest, Server overloads, bandwidth overload, etc. I don't have alot of faith in your company at the moment.Įvery MMORPG I have been involved with has had one issue or another upon release. |
